Reflection

Ready to turn a new page?

We’ve come through a lot together this year, haven’t we? This is a time for empathy and compassion and a new understanding of ourselves.

Dee and I moved back to old turf early this year. We’re adjusting to changes, and so is Mom’s cat.

From our faith, we wish you a Merry Christmas! For those of any faith, we wish you a meaningful celebration in this holiday season and a hopeful new year as we enter 2021.

So glad you are doing well. You are missing a beautiful snow storm. All is well in Traverse City.

    Have a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks for the good wishes. Same to you. I’ve been visiting Anna in Denver for awhile. We’ll see Tom and his family soon. Tricky but doing it right.

Think of you both lots and lots! Our Christmas tree came from North Carolina, so naturally I think of you guys every time I look at it or smell it! (The real thing is so much better than the scented pine car freshener!!) I should do digital messages next year because I bit off more than I can chew writing cards! Love you lots, Emily & Boyzz

So good to hear from you, Ron and Dee. We have turned a new page this year also. My husband is suffering from dementia, so we have sold our beautiful home in Wheatland and have moved to a senior community nearer to Rochester. I am going to try to continue as Wheatland historian. I sincerely appreciate your message and wish you a Merry Christmas.

Happy New Year Ron and Dee!!! Just dropped by the website for a quick look and cannot tear myself away! Swiss Granddaughter, Natalie Steiner is now researching her ancestry and I gave her this link. She’s getting the DNA testing too and maybe the bug will bite and we’ll expand our family’s tree even further. Love all the effort you’ve put into this. I have inherited all of my father’s archives and pictures of my Polish side. Unfortunately, there’s too much history lost beyond his mother and father’s names and dates of birth and his siblings. Hard times in Poland in the 1800’s and those folks didn’t keep many records that could be recovered. I do have their original passports which are completely hand written in ink and stamped. And quite a few old portrait photos of the family. Hugs to you from Blaine, WA.

Linka, hello to you from Raleigh! We just got our first snowfall since moving back here, maybe an inch or two. I’m glad to hear that you have at least a little of your dad’s family history and that your granddaughter is catching the research bug. We wish you the best for the new year, including good health. Love, Ron and Dee.
