Reunion time again
Verda Olsen’s great big family will be gathering again for a pot-luck reunion on the last Sunday afternoon in July. As we have for many years now, we’ll be under the gazebo at Belding’s East Riverside Park. If you’re a member of Grandma’s far-flung flock, we hope you can join us at 1pm on the 28th.
Our family has been blessed with musicians. The featured picture this year includes cousin Mike (at least his hands) on the washtub, my brother Eddie on guitar (Bartholomew II?), Grandpa Olsen’s nephew Merritt Olsen on the fiddle, with rhythm provided by Grandma Olsen and Uncle Mick thinking about singing. This was one of countless gatherings between the brothers’ (Ed’s and Hud’s) houses on South Shore Drive in Sheridan.

Ron,
We have put the 2019 reunion on our calendar! Summer weekends are busy times with our kids and grandkids, so no guarantee but we will make a solid effort to hold this day open. I will also let my sisters (Carol Yeomans-Phelan and Nancy Cook) know of the reunion.
What can we bring to the potluck?

Fantastic! I hope you can make it. I’m looking forward to meeting you and Carol as well as your sisters if they can come. I know how crazy busy schedules can get, so I won’t be surprised if you can’t join is. Pot lucks are just that, as I’m sure you know. Whatever you care to bring will be consumed.
